Mürzzuschlag has traditionally been an important location of industry
and technological development. Mürzzuschlag has been well known on
account of its products, especially in the areas of stainless steal and
its corresponding products.
In 1996 the WGM, an economic institution named the "Wirtschaftspark
und Gründerzentrum Mürzzuschlag" was founded, thus
fundamentally influencing the economic development of the region.
